Building hierarchy poster by 3fukutaicho Building hierarchy poster by 3fukutaicho
My final poster for an assessment for uni. It's basically making a poster to illustrate an idea to do with build, accompanied by a phrase / quote related to the idea.

My concept for this was how power and hierarchy are built weakly regardless of having a seemingly strong foundation, symbolised by the card tower - its triangular, and triangles are supposed to be the sturdiest shape, but it's easily swept down. The king sits on top, but the higher the scaffold goes, it more dangerous it gets.

I paint an average of one watercolour every year. So here's my watercolour of the year lol

Great concept--very clever! I love the simplicity of the image, yet it has a lot of detail in the cards and shading. Great job!

Great use of watercolour! I like the concept too, it only takes 1 card to fall.

My diary had like 60 pages and about 40 of those pages didn't have much to do with my finals. >w>"

I love Kings & Queens. XD

You know how much I love your conceptual art, right? And this is an added bonus, because I haven't seen many of your watercolour pieces, so it's awesome to see you work in a different medium. :la:

I love how all the picture cards are faceless. Actually, I have a big thing for cards in general, so as soon as I saw the thumbnail for this piece, I got excited. :D And I love how Hearts is at the top of the structure, but all the other suits feature in this too~

But man, what really got me was the Joker. I love how he's so out of place, just threatening to bring down the entire structure. It's kind of like... sabotage.

And the lighting and colours are fabulous.

Random Trivia: The King of Hearts is also known as the Suicide King, because of how the image depicts him stabbing a dagger through his head. It's gory, but it really fits with your concept. :XD:

I LOVE IT.

Thank you
I originally wanted to just use the photo I took of my card tower but it turned out boring so I made a stencil but then my tutor said it looked grungy not vulnerable so I ended up painting it in watercolour and that's my final image. XD

I like the joker there too, heh heh~

And erk, that was like the last of three renderings I made of that same image. I used different mediums and my tutor kept telling me to try something else and eventually it went down to good old watercolour which I hardly ever use lol

I'm not very good at watercolour - whenever I add water it would keep bleeding when I don't want it to - always need to have some tissue handy XD
